Sheri Godman-Lumley, certified Reiki Master/Teacher who practices out of Illuminate Your Spirit in Plymouth has donated her services for one Reiki session.  Reiki is Japanese for universal life energy.  Reiki is a healing technique whereby the therapist can channel energy into the client by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

Sheri, a Churchill alumni herself, says, "I am a certified Reiki Master as well as a certified Intuitive Practitioner (which includes shamanic healing for the body, mind & soul).  I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and have attended numerous classes & workshops dedicated to the healing arts & spirituality.  I have also worked as a medical assistant for over 25 years.  My life’s mission is to help people; to be a vehicle of healing, physically, emotionally & spiritually.  My background allows me the ability to help people in a way that encompasses the whole person in a nurturing, relaxing & loving environment."

Snuggle up to watch the game under this beautiful hand-crocheted Detroit Tigers blanket, donated to us by Kristen Bommarito, a relative of one of our band members.  The blanket measures 35"x40".  Kristen has been crocheting for 27 years, and usually charges $50 per blanket.  She shipped this blanket to us, so its value including shipping is about $60.

Lovingly made by Lori (Page) Barch and her mother, Jean (Page) Coleman, this Churchill music-themed lap quilt is just the thing to keep you warm on those cold Michigan evenings.  Sized at 55"x72", this quilt's primary colors are black, red and white.  The free-form machine quilting uses red thread.  The white fabric is patterned with black music notes, the red fabric is patterned with black polka dots, and the black fabric is patterned with confetti-colored music notes.  The fabric on the back of the quilt is black with charcoal grey music notes.  Two of the borders feature the red and black polka dot fabric.  The other two feature the black fabric with the confetti music notes.  Both are completed by the fabric from the back. This quilt is valued at $125.

Lori Barch, formerly Lori Page, graduated from Churchill High School in 1986.  She played trombone.  Her sister Nancy (Page) Bingham played flute and graduated in 1983.  Their father, Gene Page, taught band at Riley Junior High until he retired in 1982, and their mother Jean taught Home Ec. at Riley.

#4 Jakub Kindl is a defenseman for the Detroit Redwings.  He scored his first NHL goal against the St. Louis Blues in January 2011.  He represented the Czech Republic at the 2014 IIHF World Championship, where he recorded one goal and two assists in ten games.

When the NHL was born, there were only 6 teams: The Red Wings, The Blackhawks, The Maple Leafs, The Canadiens, The Bruins, and The Rangers.  This piece pays homage to the teams that made hockey what it is today.  Contained in a black frame are six pucks. Each puck bears the logo one of the original six hockey teams.  Along with the pucks is a heritage banner with each team’s logo and the year it was established.  Sized at 37" x 17 1/2", this hockey history memorabilia is valued at $300.
